What was the best movie you saw in 2008? The worst?

I'm no expert on this....my favorite movie from 2008 was "Mama Mia"
(ducks and runs.)

I didn't see a lot of 2008 movies - saving pennies and waiting for the DVD. I did like Ironman a lot (because Robert Downey Jr is just hot. Nuff said about that). I liked "The Dark Knight" though Christian Bale's raspy Batman voice got on my nerves.

That's about it.

I had the Oscars on in the background while I was working on my laptop. Missed the best parts though (Tina Fey and Steve martin - missed that and the opening music number).

I never watch simply because I don't care about the movie industry slapping each other on the back for playing make believe...I don't care about stars or the royal family and really don't see why people get excited over any of them...get a life folks.

Now if I actually knew someone that won some sort of honor I would clap for them but I don't get excited over strangers.

I agree with Fritz. I can't stand all these luvvies patting each other on the back and those dreadful gushing acceptance speeches make me want to puke.

Why do these people get awards just for doing their jobs, and very well paid jobs they are too.

Weekly grumble now over.

I like the pics of some of the horrible gowns chosen by women who have a fortune to spend, but no taste at all.
