Click here for a concise and interesting article

An excerpt:

Quote:
8. "I didn't come from no ape..."

This seems to be an arrogant argument. While the fossil record is not 100% complete there is significant evidence that humans have a common ancestor with many modern apes. Also, humans are 99% similar in DNAwith many primates and many of our skeletal features are very similar. While many feel too good to have evolved from a primate they are just ignoring scientific evidence for ignorance and arrogance.

Either we came from apes or we came from breathed on dirt. Either way I'm not bothered. God can do it how ever S/He wants.

Evolution from what? One man? How do the evolutionists explain the time it would have taken for two individual humans to evolve in order to reproduce. By the time - say millions of years the other human (female) evolved, just who was she supposed to cohabit with as the first man would have been long dead and gone. This makes absolutely no sense. I must look to the heavens and space travel, and aliens who dumped our species on this planet for whatever reason.

Am I serious? About what? About how evolutionists theory is the answer? Tell me Jedi, you know more than I do about how many humans evolved at once in order to reproduce after their kind. Two or more? One out of Africa who waited on another to come strolling out of the rain forest? In how many parts of the world did this "evolution of man" event take place? I have yet to see an explanation of man that I can totally understand.

Soooo.. if you have the answers, out with it.

Roselyn,

If you interested, I suggest you start looking at
Mitochondrial Eve.

(I don’t normally suggest wikipedia, but this is as easy a reading on the topic and a good of starting point as any.)

If you (or anyone else for that matter) wants me to flesh it out AFTER reading the article, I would be happy to do so. If you, Roselyn, want to spew your normal ignorance—count me out.

You surprise me, that's all. I could care less if you do or do not believe in evolution. To me it's the best explanation going, but I wouldn't face a firing squad for it.

Now why did you want to exhibit your abundance of unkindness toward me?

Consider yourself counted OUT!

Jedi,

Why should it surprise you that I know practically nothing about the theory of evolution? I've never been a fan of that particular field of study. And as evolution is an ongoing process and a process that does not prove that man came from monkey, what is left is many theories, imo. I could choose any one but prefer alien affiliation. :)

ps. Some people prefer their origins in the reptilian kind.

Are you familiar with Sitchin's ideas. I wont laugh at you if you believe we were manipulated genetically by aliens. I've toyed with that idea myself.

What I want to know is this:

Do the apes wonder if they evolved from us?

And are some of them insulted by the very suggestion of such a thing?

Pax!

Err….because I have an abundance of unkindness?

Is this one of those tricks where the answer is in the question?

Sitchin's ideas? Nope, not familiar with such, but will google it for kicks. ;)

Go ahead, laugh at me. I often laugh at myself for some of the stuff I post. But when it comes to alien manipulation, I get really serious because something is out there and I just have this feeling that whatever it is, is tied to our DNA. Besides, I think I've been abducted more than a few times. ;)

In your arrogant know-it-all super intelligence, why don't you tell me how man evolved from the first sole human? Maybe he reproduced himself without the aid of a female?

Would you also give the years between these two humans?

After that, you might want to start a topic entitled "Why I hate Roselyn". List all my stupid comments, or whatever else is sticking in your ribs.

Really? I take that stuff seriously. I believe it happens and I think the whole phenomena is real. I'm just not sure they are aliens from another planet. I think it is all connected with the paranormal in general and is perhaps more spiritual than physical, I'm sure you'd disagree. I could be wrong though. Would you care to PM me about some of your experiences? I'm not a bad guy and I won't abuse what you tell me.
