Tent Cities in America, Folks

This is from the UK..........there's not a lot of publicity in America about the numbers of homeless in tent cities. But google "tent cities America" and see what you find......courtesy of George W. Bush trashing this nation.

A century and a half ago it was at the centre of the Californian gold rush, with hopeful prospectors pitching their tents along the banks of the American River.

Today, tents are once again springing up in the city of Sacramento. But this time it is for people with no hope and no prospects.

With America's economy in freefall and its housing market in crisis, California's state capital has become home to a tented city for the dispossessed.

Those who have lost their jobs and homes and have nowhere else to go are constructing makeshift shelters on the site, which covers several acres.
As many as 50 people a week are turning up and the authorities estimate that the tent city is now home to more than 1,200 people.

In a state more known for its fantastic wealth and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, the images have shocked many Americans. Conditions are primitive, with no water supply or proper sanitation. Many residents have to walk up to three miles to buy bottled water from petrol stations or convenience stores.

I just thought of something.. Bush has a big cattle ranch in Texas. Lots of room for growing veggies, and beef on the hoof for steaks on the grill. As he caused this mess, maybe people in tent cities will at least request his help?. Oh, and from what I hear, there's lots of good fishing spots there to. No one should starve when Bush has the means by which to assist those he put on the street. McCain is another source for assistance, and other Repugnuts who helped to cause this American economic downfall. I wonder what his reaction would be if 1200 homeless from tent city showed up at his door?

I understand that the new policy says Bush can only take advantage of the Secret Service for ten years. In the meantime he plans to do what was his goal in the first place - - speaking tours and book sales. It's expected that the little SOB will average 50 million a year at the onslaught of his "ghost writing" episodes. Surely no one thinks that a man who can't think can actually construct a few sentences into a book that sells. People on the street who voted for such a clown should demand that their funnyman give them a place to live, a job, and "security" in their own nation America. If anyone has the power and privelege to do it their hero can. I don't want to hear them bitching about Obama and want them to ask why their Repugnut administration is refusing to help them. After all, they still love him so much that they will contribute to his increasing wealth. While he sits aloft his billions smirking and grinning at their stupidity.

What happened to T.Boone Pickens? Why isn't he providing shelter for these homeless people? All the other super wealthy Repugnuts? Hagee gave 6 million to Israel, surely he is THE MAN who could provide shelter to homeless people.
