Yes it's me! The messiah has returned -  A summary of the last few months. Diagnosed with Sleep apnea (have problems breathing when I sleep). Now I need to sleep with a machine. Other then that I am fitter then ever before. Am half way through studying to become a professional carer. Seriously involved stuff. Oh and now I have 50% custody of my son. Yay

 Doc - SOS/DD??? Please explain...  Mickey - Professional Carer, means I take care of people...eh... professionally! Seriously I help Aged Pensioners, Disabled etc live their lives as independently as possible. It really fits in with my interests (spiritually speaking), and it means I can eventually walk away from the Retail/Department store career I've had all my life. You might be surprised at just how in depth it goes. This could lead to semi-nursing work in hospitals!!!! YAY - big change.

I visited my mother-in-law in a nursing home for about five years before she died this past January, and I really had difficulty seeing folks in their last days and hours, many of whom never had any visitors. I just wanted to reach out to everyone of them and do something to help brighten up their day, but the best I could do was smile at them as I walked on by. You're a pretty awesome person, AIUI, for taking on such a compassionate driven career... doc

Glad to hear you get to see your son.
As far as your new job...my youngest daughter is a CNA and just got her CMT...she has worked at a nursing home since she got out of high school and It takes a special person to do what she does...she went to work there while my mother was still there and I can tell you it was heart breaking for me to see the people that are forced to live out their lives in a nursing home.

Thanks guys.
Yep it can be heart breaking at times.
But for me, because it is real instead of the pretense and smoke and mirrors of retail it is so much more satisfying and ....wholesome. I feel...cleaner.
