I started to go to a chiropractor when I was 28 and kept going until 2003 and they (I had only two different ones) going for all those years...true there are some that just give a high priced back rub but the two I had would move my joints (neck, mid back and right hip) and keep me pain free for however long...I do believe that my last one kept my L5 disk from blowing out for years.
As for never curing anyone when I went the first time I asked ole doc Stallings how long I would need to come to him he just asked "how long are you going to work?"...so I went for 25 years whenever I needed to.
Stallings said the biggest trama for joints is when you are born so you grow that way and the best a chiropractor can do is move joints to relieve the pain...our oldest son when about three walked with one foot turned in so I told Stallings about it and he said just bring him in so I did and he adjusted him...next day he was walking straight as a string and quit wetting the bed...so we had our other three adjusted when they were little as well.

You mean there's hope that I could quit wetting the bed?

I think I'd rather visit a witchdoctor. The thought of someone adjusting my bones is out of the question.

Oh I forgot. I went to the mall once, a year ago I think, and this weird chiropractor was set up in the mall next to the toy shop. He was giving free neck rubs or adjustments etc., and so I said yeah, I'll let you but don't do this and don't try to fix anything. He said he couldn't help me. I laughed and said I knew THAT. I did ask him if a psychiatrist would be giving free assessments the next time I came to the mall. I love helping the medical community in their outreach programs.

I agree with what Doc defines as preventative health care ("Early diagnostic tests are not synonomous with 'preventative care'. Rather, "preventative care" represents any and all means to enure that people eat the right foods, get enough rest and exercise, are guarded against pesticides, herbicides, and other toxins . . . ") and so does THE HEALTH RANGER (Mike Adams). I fear that our Gomint will just throw more (borrowed) money at the huge corporate machine that is erroneously referred to as the "health care industry" while leaving the real important stuff unfunded. But such is life here in the USA. Naomi

I used to have bad pelvic pain when walking but bought Orthoheel inserts - for a coupla days my back ached badly as my gait readjusted - but now the pain is gone.
