Christians are always trying to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. But where does all the dysfunctionality come from? It comes from their not be willing to conform to the rules Paul established for the church of Christ. Each church has a functioning body with individual gifts. Some people are gifted in leadership and public speaking, these become ministers. Others are gifted in interpretation of biblical sayings, while others are gifted in management of funds collected for and to be used for the membership. All these members fit together for their purpose of increasing the kingdom of God on earth(as it is in heaven). The reason for decreasing membership in churches is due to the lack of oversight in responsible functionality. It was never intended that the churches be concerned with worldly affairs. But that is where the churches have gone and why they cannot perform their duties as directed. The churches today preach "we got to get back to the bible". Funny thing is, they haven't even read or understand the instructions.

Do you suppose the Bible should come with a set of instructions?

Or maybe as with automobiles, before driving there should be a test?

Christianity as outlined in the NT is a man's religion, a man's domain. Women have their place, to be silent in the churches; keepers of the home, not upsurping authority of their husbands. Reason for this subjection of women to men is Eve, who was deceived. Question is, was she ever created equal to begin with?

Here in my part of the world there has been a movement for a long time called: "The Cowboy Churches" complete with roping and rodeo events to draw the cowboys... Not foot ball types, the actual ones. It is huge in some of the small towns around here.
