Rodger,
I think you are right about hellfire making Yahweh a tyrant. I don't know what came over me several posts back. I guess I am just trying to keep an open mind and look at all the possibilities evenly. But not all are even I suppose.

The sadly humerous thing about it is that both the Christians and the Muslims use the same endless-hell threat to try to make converts, and stop their converts from leaving their endless-hell belief system. :( :!:

Didn't the Jews at one time have what was called degrees in hell? Or maybe it was compartments of hell and punishment would be based on the offense and set for certain periods of time, then the person would be brought out?

Yes, I think you are right about that Roselyn.
A literal translation of the Christian New Testement would agree with that concept as explained in this link.
