Sounds like fun...all things come to he who waits.
The smallest engine I've owned was a 9.9 Sears gamefisher back in 78 but that was some time ago...I've had two other 9.9's and there's still one in the garage to go with a 12 foot fishing boat that I gave to my oldest son...wonder when he will get around with the titles and get it out of my yard.
We got back this morning and had a great time...we didn't get down Monday till about two so we launched the boat and put it in a covered slip I rented for 15 bucks a day and then went down to see Leroy and Barbara"s travel trailer (a 28 ft. Coachman) and piddled around for awhile and had a few beers and hit the sack...We took 0ff early Tues morning and planted ourselves over a bunch of fish and caught quite a few...then went in for lunch about one and went back out about four and got some more...I caught the biggest of the day at 13 1/2 inches all were in the 10 to 12 range and we had a dandy fish fry.
The only sour note came this morning...we had planned to go out for awhile and take off but it was windy, cold and raining so I just left the boat down there and Leroy and I will run down in the morning and drag it back to our home roost...the wind would have made it impossible to get the boat on the trailer...front end will come in O.K. but as soon as you stop the ass will blow sideways and never even get close to landing straight on the rails.
We did have a very good time and enjoyed ourselves as old friends do...it's no big deal to run down tomorrow and snatch the boat out of the water it's just two hrs down and two back...we will get out there and fish a bit and then drag her home...a few more crappie are always welcome.
