Quote:
Behemoth tails are described as like cedars - your elephant tail is more like a length of string.

Logos says:

Calling it a "tail" is just a prudish mistranslation. The verse:

Quote:
17 His tail hardens like a cedar; the sinews of his testicles are knit together.

Obviously refers to the penis, but FundaGelicals, being terrified of sex, have always willfully mistranslated it as "tail."

The animal is obviously the wonderful Nile hippo, a terrifying and aggressive monster that is responsible for more human deaths than any other in Africa.

The "Leviathan" is just as obviously the great Nile crocodile (which in those days probably reached lengths of 25 to 30 feet and may have weighed as much as two tons).....another terrifying creature that takes a lot of human lives.

If one just considers the animals that the storytellers confronted in their everyday lives.....the identification of the two becomes rather easy.

Pax!
