further to my Eisenman resurgence I've downloaded the homilies of Clementine etc - they show Peter in a far different light from the gospel and Acts libelousness.
Well worth a read.

CoolH, I've been reading the Pseudo Clementines also and I don't think they are any less genuine than the standard NT. I think they are truer, in fact.

I've downloaded lotsa little pages from ccel and copied and pasted them - it takes ages - and somehow I managed to mess up - who would credit it? - so it looks like I'm gonna have to buy a proper copy.
Fro mwhat I've read - mucho but not in the correct order - they are less dodgy that Acts say or the writing derived from Pauline thought.

No wonder the Roman elites declared the Clementines as apocryphal - they show up their poster boy Saulus/Paul as a weasel of the first water.
Peter's teachings regarding salvation are identical to mine - so he must have been right.

Peter, in the Clementines warns people not to trust all the scriptures as there are plenty that are there deliberately to trap the unwary.
Apparently before the Babylonian exile the dodgy scriptures were written in order to decieve those who wanted to be deceived thus forming a genuine body of believers free of deceptions who followed 'God' in truth.
After the Exile the dodgy scriptures were inserted deliberately to con everybody.
You gotta learn to separate the true truth from the true lies.
