What do you think?

Christian Fundamentalist Terrorism

Christian Fundamentalist Terrorism.

It's shocking to write. But it's time to start calling it what it is.

When Jim D. Adkisson walked into the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church with 76 rounds and a shot-gun, he killed 2 people and was charged with murder. His motive was "he hated the liberal movement" and was upset with "liberals in general as well as gays." He should have been charged with terrorism.

Sunday George Tiller, a Wichita doctor, was killed INSIDE the lobby of his Wichita church. Reformation Lutheran Church became a crime scene; fundamentalist terrorism.

The right wing media hacks make targets of the left. The fundamentalist reverends blather their intolerance of other Americans. Their marriages are in jeopardy if the GLBT community can walk down an aisle. Their children are going to be molested if you have to rent to a same sex couple. Fear...fear...fear the queer.

Bill O'Reilly's hit piece on Dr. Tiller is a training tape for Christian Fundamentalist Terrorists. Never did he ask the woman interviewed how she, as a 13 year old, got pregnant, who was the father, or where her parents were when she underwent an abortion at Dr. Tiller's clinic. I'm sure O'Reilly's drivel will insist on personal accountability for the murderer. I'm sure he won't be in line for any "accountability" for calling the doctor "Tiller the baby-killer" or his clinic a "death mill."

Are anti-choice groups celebrating today? An abortion doctor is dead so women won't have unwanted pregnancies!

The "war on terror" needs to include domestic religious, fundamentalist terrorists.

Bill O'Reilly's actions helped cause the murder.

All journalists profiting from hate-speech should be subject to jail time.

I heard on rachael Maddow MSNBC show that Roeder was in almost constant communication with the Christian Coalition. Back and forth talks with the president or whatever they call their leader. Anyways, she has served time in prison for threats and violence before, and the Coalition website is still up and active.

Now, this presents the opportunity, I think, for the Southern Poverty Law Center to act just as it did when members of the Klan killed a black woman's son. And she was awarded millions the Klan didn't have but ended up with their large property, housing and all. So why can't Morris Dee's sue the Christian Coalition the same way? And under the Hate Crimes bill?

I wonder how many politicians are connected to the Right Wing anti-abortionists Christian Coalition? This may be why nothing will be done about this home-grown terrorist act of hate. Surely if the FBI wasn't afraid to tackle the Klan in the 1960's they're not afraid to push these fundamentalist extremists back into their holes. But I dunno, the Right can get even more violent using their political arms of power. I don't think the Klan ever got over losing their base in Washington back in the 1920's. That's when almost every senator and congressman were proud members of the KKK. Over 60,000 Klan members strutted their stuff through a Washington meet-up. It was a sight to see. (I watched the KKK documentary). I would say 99% of them were Christians. At least one was non-denominatioal misfit, the guy with the camera.

Hate speech is protected evidently. Even when it insights goofy servants of the bible god to kill for him. They are, after all, extremists "after Gods own heart."

No, inciting violence is a crime. All we need is a stricter interpretation of that law and Dobson and Limbaugh will find themselves in handcuffs. Dobson's already been banned in Canada due to his anti-gay hatespeech.

Hate speech leading to violent acts includes stuff like "we should kill alll Muslims because all Muslims are terrorists". Or like Dubya's hate incitment to war using "evildoers" as his coded biblical message to the Right Wing extremists. Or the racist propaganda used by evangelicals in "God chose Isrul" and "the Jewish nation". Falwell's "its worth 10,000 American lives to take out Saddam" in his pumping hatred before 9/11.

I'm trying to think if there is any difference in hiring a hit man to kill someone and evangelicals on TV using their hate speech to incite someone to kill for their cause.

Dobson already banned in Canada? Good! Maybe, just maybe, legal eyes here in the states will begin to likewise silence him and Limpbaugh and all the others in the Right Wing who have grown accustomed to getting by with inciting murder.

Dobson was banned but agreed to doctor his Canadian broadcasts so he could stay on the air.

In time this will happen in America as well.

In other words, Dobson didn't want to serve jailtime for criminal activity.

No, he didn't want to lose money.

He needed to keep in touch with his FundaGelical supporters in Canada, so he fixed the programs so they would play there.

I read that piece on WND and found the law in Canada very reasonable. Even as they stated it it seems natural and even a "grown-up idea" to stop the silly school yard name calling. One wonders why any grown-up nation would have to pass a law requiring adults to treat each other with respect.. Of course Dobson and his group are not required to follow man's law only god"s. One would wonder also why man's law seems to be more civilized than god"s?

They're both man's law, aren't they?

Why are they so different?

Ahhhh......God's laws were written by religious FundaGenitals.

Man's laws had at least a few civilized and intelligent people involved in the writing.

These homegrown Christian terrorists are like bratty children without responsible parents. They must be disciplined with stricter laws such as the Hate Crimes bill. Else they become bully's and destroy peaceful society.
