I tend to avoid any sports where USA might win. If they look like getting beaten I'll watch and cheer on their challengers...Unless the challenger is Australian, German, or any other nationality to which I've developed an unwarranted animus.

I must admit I am quite an olympics junky. I love the swimming, diving, gymnastics, and of course, track and field. There have been very exciting performances so far. 41 year old Dara Torres is amazing!
